Why do we worship?

Our worship gatherings are the anchor point of our church community.

We begin our weeks by gathering with the our church family to hear the God’s Word proclaimed through the scriptures and and respond by coming to the communion table.

We filled with God’s grace and then sent from worship into our ordinary, every day, lives to be agents of Christs’s love and forgiveness for our hurting and broken world.

What can I expect during Sunday worship?

Many who visit say they feel like they are part of the family.
You can expect to be greeted and feel like you belong.

There is no dress code. Come as you are!

Our Worship has four movements:

  1. Gathering: we come together as the people of God. We sing, pray, and are invited into worship.

  2. Word: We usually hear two different scripture readings and a sermon that proclaims the good news heard from the scripture readings.

  3. Table: We respond to the scripture readings by coming to the communion table to give thanks and receive the grace of our Lord Jesus through the gifts of bread and wine (we serve grape juice.)

  4. Sending: We sing and hear a benediction that sends us out into the world as Jesus’ hands and feet.

What about our children?

We love our children!

Pre-k and Elementary children begin worship with their parents,
continue worship in our children’s worship room during the message,
and join us again in the sanctuary to receive communion.

There is a nursery for children under 3.

*All children are welcome to stay with their parents through the entire service.
We do not mind disruptions!
